Teens kidnapped by terrorist organization -Thoughts and Prayers

Via the Jerusalem Post, 3 teenage students  have been kidnapped by a 'terror organisation' in Israel. May the  G-d of the children of Israel,  be with them, their families and may the community hold strong. May the security services find them unharmed & the perpetrators punished for this barbaric act.

    Thanks for putting up this thread. It seems that Bibi isn't taking this lying down and has ordered a crackdown on the terrorists. And people expect us to negociate with scum like this?

  6. How, what, why, where? We are talking about 3 innocent children to you adults here being kidnapped by terrorists. That isn't the hallmark of civilisation. Oh and it is against international, in not moral law. What kind of people do this? First Nigeria and now Israel. What happens when this starts to occur in London?

  9. Psalm 121

    lift up my eyes to the hills—
    from where will my help come?
    My help comes from the Lord,
    who made heaven and earth.

    He will not let your foot be moved;
    he who keeps you will not slumber.
    He who keeps Israel
    will neither slumber nor sleep.

    The Lord is your keeper;
    the Lord is your shade at your right hand.
    The sun shall not strike you by day,
    nor the moon by night.

    The Lord will keep you from all evil;
    he will keep your life.
    The Lord will keep
    your going out and your coming in
    from this time on and forevermore.

  10. Hi Esther,

    Thanks for that. If I may also add Psalm 130,

    A Song of Ascents.
    Out of the depths I cry to you, O L-rd.
    L-rd, hear my voice!
    Let your ears be attentive
    to the voice of my supplications!

    If you, O L-rd, should mark iniquities,
    Lord, who could stand?
    But there is forgiveness with you,
    so that you may be revered.

    I wait for the L-rd, my soul waits,
    and in his word I hope;
    my soul waits for the L-rd
    more than those who watch for the morning,
    more than those who watch for the morning.

    O Israel, hope in the L-rd!
    For with the L-rd there is steadfast love,
    and with him is great power to redeem.
    It is he who will redeem Israel
    from all its iniquities.

    No problem . It's a song called "Acheinu" :

    "Acheinu kol beit yisrael, han'nutunim b'tzara uvashivyah, haomdim bein bayam uvein bayabasha. Hamakom Y'racheim Aleihem v'yotziem mitzra lirvacha um'afaila l'orah umishiabud lig'ulah, hashta ba'agala uvizman kariv.V'nomar: Amen"

    Or
    "Our brothers are the whole family of Israel.
    Those in distress and those in captivity,
    Whether on the sea or dry land.
    May God have mercy on them,
    And bring them out from distress to relief,
    From darkness to light,
    From bondage to redemption,
    Now, speedily and soon.
    And let us say, Amen."

    And this[Hashem and Torah] has stood for our fathers and for us,
    For not only one has risen against us to destroy us,
    For in every generation they stand against us to destroy us,
    And the Holy One, blessed be He, delivers us from their hands.
